The Lack of Goodwill While many Catholics do not easily make the connection between, abuse, sacrilege and desecration with Communion in the hand. It is perhaps better to explain this in terms of abuse of goodwill. We eagerly receive Our Lord in the Bless Sacrament and we acknowledge this is God's goodwill for us. What must we do to show our goodwill in return?
Catholics come to Mass to worship God and receive the Eucharist, so where is the abuse of God's goodwill? It is the lack of care shown for the Eucharist. We believe Christ is on the altar when consecrated, Christ on our hand when we receive Holy Communion. However the moment the Eucharistic particles break-off on the hand and falls on the floor, we completely ignore that Christ is on the floor. Christ becomes an inconvenience to us, since we have already received His goodwill, so we trample on Him without any regards. This is a great abuse. Further more, to add insult to this abuse, some will deny this occurs.
In our lack of care for Our Lord, this truly shows our lack of goodwill towards God. This is not only an abuse of God's goodwill for us, but it is an abuse on God Himself.
Where is our goodwill towards God? Many desire to receive Our Lord as adults (Communion on the hand), not as little children (Communion on the tongue, while kneeling), yet the adults are the ones who let Our Lord fall on the floor, and trample on Him. The adults are the ones who deny what they are doing is wrong. This is a great scandal.
And he said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." ~ Matthew 18:3
Truly, where is the goodwill towards God, that we must be adults and receive Holy Communion in the hand? It is better that we become like little children and worthily receive Holy Communion on the tongue, while kneeling.
We have a choice - God first or man first:
Of course Catholics would say God first, but do we truly mean this, do we put God first?
To test this, do we want God to be trampled on or not?
God trampled on - Putting man first:
Communion on the hand is allowed - which propagates Eucharistic particles to fall on the floor. Desire to be treated as adults at Holy Communion. No Communion paten used - even if used, is pointless, since Eucharistic particles fall from Communion on the hand. Occurs in Novus Ordo Mass churches throughout the world. Lack of good manners - God is allowed to be trampled on.
God NOT trampled on - Putting God first:
Communion on the tongue, while kneeling is the principal law of the Church. Desire to be treated as child-like at Holy Communion. Communion paten is used - Eucharistic particles do not fall on the floor. Occurs In exclusive Traditional Latin Mass churches/chapels. Good manners - God is not allowed to be trampled on.
"As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." ~ James 2:26
What good is our faith if we don't live by our goodwill principle.
"Christ has liberated us to be free. Stand firm then and don’t submit again to a yoke of slavery." ~ Galatians 5:1
We are free to receive Our Lord worthily, why would we choose do damage to our goodwill with God?
The Real Presence vs the denial of the Real Presence:
A man of goodwill principle does not say he believes in the Real Presence only when it suits him, if it is the Real Presence, it is the Real Presence, he cannot change the truth just because the truth becomes an inconvenience for him.
Many will say they believe and worship the Real Presence, but when it comes to the Eucharistic particles falling to the floor, they will deny the Real Presence. They have received God's goodwill, but they do not realise or care to give their goodwill in return to God. Inconvenience denies the truth, so God is trampled on.
God must not be mocked - "This is my body." If the Eucharist is the Real Presence of God, then it does not matter how small the Eucharist is, or where it is. If the Eucharistic particles are on the floor, then God is on the floor. The modernist man will use any excuse not to upset his way of worship, even deny God and trample on Him.
"But he that shall deny me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven." ~ Matthew 10:33
A man of goodwill principle will not accept any excuses. He worships in truth - the faith he has acknowledged. He will take every action to avoid trampling on God.
Addiction to harmful worship: Many will say Communion in the hand does not lead to lost of faith in the Real Presence, even when Eucharist particles fall to the floor and is trampled on. Their way of worship takes precedence over of any inconvenient truth. If a dogma clashes with their way of worship, they will simply remain silent, ignoring the truth as if nothing was wrong. What matters is they have their way of worship.
Only the goodwill principled man will see what is happening, this is a love of harmful worship, over the actual love of God. It is like being in a relationship with someone, but love being "in the relationship", more so than loving the actual person. While the relationship may be of good intention, the actual relationship is a harmful one, because it is actual physical abuse occurring - the desecration of Our Lord.
The addiction here, is where many are unwilling to let go of a harmful relationship/worship for a healthy one. Not only does Our Lord suffers, but the person's faith suffers, despite the person's claim of a healthy relationship with God.
A man of goodwill principle will seek God's love in truth, he will not remain in an unhealthy relationship with God, and let God suffer. He will set himself up where he can have a healthy relationship with God, a relationship of goodwill.
