A man of goodwill principle, fears God, he fears doing wrong against God and offending HIm. He always strive to be of goodwill towards God.
The modernist man has no fear of God, he believes what he wants to believe. He does not take the bible seriously, the doctrine seriously, yet he will say he has the faith. If Our Eucharistic Lord, falls to the floor, and is trampled on, he will say it's okay, God is merciful, or he will say it's not God on the floor at all, anything to suit his own belief, his own way. A way of worship that suits him.
The Gift of the Holy Spirit - Fear of God
Having fear of God:
Why the fear of God is necessary.
"And he shall be filled with the spirit of the fear of the Lord." ~ Isaiah 11:3
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." ~ Proverbs 9:10
Then Peter began to speak: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right." ~ Acts 10:34-35
"The LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love." ~ Psalm 147:11
"Therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in truth and with your whole heart, for you have seen the great works which he hath done among you." ~ 1 Samuel 12:24
"But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him." ~ Luke 12:5
"His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation." ~ Luke 1:50
Having no fear of God:
Some will say there should be no fear of God, just love, they will use the following verses.
"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." ~ 1 John 4:18
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear: but of power, and of love, and of sobriety." ~ 2 Timothy 1:7
Yet we are not perfect, unless we have perfect love for God - that is we keep all His commands, we should fear God.
"In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome," ~ 1 John 5:3
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is prudence." ~ Proverbs 9:10
Having no fear of Lord, is having no understanding or care of the Lord. A man of goodwill knows he is not perfect, and so he fears God, he fears being separated from God's love. He should therefore know not to trample on the Lord.
The effort in loving God - The first and greatest
"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God, with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind, and with thy whole strength. This is the first commandment." ~ Mark 12:30
What would it take to not trample on Jesus, to not provide any excuses, and to go to Mass where you could receive our Lord worthily? Would it take your whole strength? Chances are it's not going to take all of your strength, but it will take your goodwill principle. We either hold to our goodwill principle or we don't; we do what it takes or we don't; we are men of goodwill or we are not.
Having no concern for the abuse
One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!” But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." ~ Luke 23:39-41
Is it right to trample on Christ and have no care for the wellbeing for the Body of Christ and expect God's goodwill? Should we have the same attitude as the other criminal and tell Jesus - "save yourself and us!"
The Our Father - the will of the Father
"Thy will be done on earth..." Do we think that it is the will of God the Father, for man to trampled on His Son? No man of goodwill principle, will go to the Novus Ordo church, when the truth is make clear to him. It is not God's will.
